Free health check-up camp held for Chandigarh cops

A free medical health check-up camp was organised on Saturday at the multipurpose hall, Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh, by Mukat Hospital & Heart Institute in association with Chandigarh Police. The camp, which ran from 10 am to 2 pm, aimed at promoting the health and well-being of the police force.

The initiative was conducted with the approval of Sagar Preet Hooda, Director-General of Police, and Manjeet Sheroan, Superintendent of Police. Senior police officials, including DSP Harjit Kaur Sandhu (Lines & PCR), DSP Manju Sharma (welfare centre), Inspector Reena Yadav (CPD) and Inspector Jaswinder Kaur (Admin, PCR), were present on the occasion.

Medical specialists from Mukat Hospital provided consultations across multiple disciplines. Among them were Dr Suranjana Basak (neurology), Dr Tejas Sood (pulmonology), Dr Sumu Chowdhury (orthopaedics), Dr Ramesh Aggarwal (laparoscopic surgery), Dr Madhu Bala (gynaecology), Dr Abhishek (cardiology), Dr Munish (dentistry), and Dr Priyanka (Dietician). A team of technicians also assisted in diagnostic tests and examinations.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel, who underwent various health screenings. BS Sandhu, general manager (marketing) at Mukat Hospital, coordinated awareness and publicity for the event. Officials expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort, noting its importance in safeguarding the health of those serving in demanding roles.
