Frequent transfers of Kharar Municipal Council EOs hamper development works

How much importance the Local Bodies Department gives to the Kharar Municipal Council can be judjed from the the fact that eight Executive Officers have been transferred in the past three years.
Big fat transfers
Sukhjinder Singh Sidhu was transferred from Kharar on January 9, 2017. Harjit Singh was also working as an Executive officer during this time. Kulbhusan Goyal took charge on January 9, 2017. Surprisingly, Harjit Singh and Kubhusan Goyal were transferred on June 5, 2017.
Then Sandeep Tiwari took over and he was transferred on June 4, 2018. Virender Kumar Jain was given an additional charge, who remained here till August 22, 2018. After his transfer, Rajesh Sharma stayed here for around a year and was transferred on August 22, 2019. After him, KS Brar joined and he was transferred on January 27.
Now, Sangeet Ahluwalia has taken over as a new Executive Officer.
Ironically, an Executive Officer plays a crucial role in functioning of the civic body along with commencement and completion of development projects in the MC.
In the past couple of years, population has increased manifold in Kharar. As a result, problems faced by residents have also gone up.
However, frequent transfers of the Executive officers has slowed down pace of development projects.

Residents said when an Executive Officer becomes aware of the issues affecting their life and basic needs, the official is transferred.
