Gaurish, Harshini win skating gold

Gaurish claimed the gold medal in the boys’ 12–15 years quads 1500m road race event during the Chandigarh State Roller Skating Championship. Tejas claimed the second position and Manthan third. In the girls’ event, Harshini took home the gold, Manya bagged silver and Kirti bronze.

In the boys’ 15–18 years quads 3000m road race, Hiten won gold, Noor finished second and Tarunjot claimed bronze. In the girls’ category, Ananya Mahajan, Saanvi and Ananya Thakur claimed the top three positions, respectively.

Earlier, KB DAV Roller Hockey Club got the better of Sector 7 Club in the boys’ sub-junior roller hockey event. After both sides were locked at 3-3 at the end of regulation time, the match went into extra time. However, the scoreboard remained unchanged, forcing a penalty shootout. Both

teams once again matched each other, taking the score to 4-4, and pushing the contest into a sudden death. KB DAV Club held their nerve to register the 5-4 win.
