Gavita, Parth win Table Tennis titles

Garvita and Parth claimed girls’ and boys’ U-13 titles on the concluding day of the 2nd Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament at the Sector 23 Table Tennis Hall.

In the girls’ U-13 final, Garvita recorded a comeback 3-11 11-6 11-7 12-10 win over Pratiti. Parth won the boys’ title by defeating Japishit 11-7 13-11 3-11 11-8. He defeated Mehtab 11-3 13-11 11-5 and Japishit ousted Arpit 11-2 12-10 4-11 11-3 before setting up the title clash.

Ojas, Tisha shine in U-11 final

Tisha dominated the girls’ U-11 category by registering an easy win over Trishi. In the final, she posted a 11-7 11-9 11-5 victory. In semis, Trishi defeated Hamreet 11-5 11-3 11-4, while Tisha faced a tough challenge from Priyanshi before logging a 11-5 5-11 11-9 5-11 11-9 win.

Ojas won the boys’ U-11 title by defeating Rayaan 11-7 11-7 4-11 12-10. In semis, Ojas defeated Nivaan 11-4 11-9 11-5, while Rayaan ousted Divit Bansal 11-7 12-10 10-12 8-11 11-7. — TNS
