Girl's scooty taken away at gunpoint in Zirakpur
Zirakpur, June 12
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly robbed of her scooty at gunpoint on the Aerocity road this afternoon.
The victim, Jasleen Kaur of I-Block, Aerocity, said around 1.30 pm, she had gone to buy grocery from a store near her house. A middle-aged man standing under a tree signalled her to stop. She stopped near him and he tried to snatch her phone. The man then pulled a pistol from his bag and threatened to shoot her if she raised the alarm. He fled on her scooty.
The suspect had left his scooty behind as he had exhausted its fuel. On verification, the police found that the two-wheeler had a fake registration plate with a Kharar address.
