A local court sentenced a former superintendent of GMADA, Narinderpal Singh, to five years of imprisonment in a 2017 graft case.

Narinderpal and Karam Singh, a peon, were nabbed by the Vigilance Bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 to issue a no objection certificate (NOC) in connection with a plot in Sector 78. Karam Singh passed away during the trial.
