Independence Day Cup final today at Chandigarh Golf Course

KS Brar and Brig Gill will face APS Kahai and Gauhar Pruthi in the final of the Independence Day Cup, which will be played on August 14 at the Chandigarh Golf Course.
Brar and Gill won their first three matches by the 15th hole. However, the duo faced tough competition in their semi-final match against Virian Khosla and Col Mohan Singh. One down with one to play, Brar and Gill won the 18th hole to take the match into a playoff and claim victory with a par on the first playoff hole. The other finalists, APS Kahai and Gauhar Pruthi, faced strong opposition from the likes of Jaspreet Bakshi, Arvind Bajaj and MP Singh. — TNS
