Local golfer Krish Chawla, a student of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, claimed third position in the combined A and B category (U-18) at the National IGU NCR Junior Boys Golf Championship held in Noida. This achievement granted him a coveted one-year amateur card on the national circuit, marking a significant milestone in his golfing career.

Chawla showcased his extraordinary skills with a remarkable total score of 7-under par, featuring rounds of 68, 73, 64 and 68. This impressive performance not only highlights Chawla’s technical proficiency on the course, but also his ability to maintain composure under pressure in a competitive environment.

In addition, Chawla also participated in the IGU Northern India Amateur Tournament at the Noida Golf Course, where he finished 14th on the merit list with a total score of 293 (77, 74, 72, 70).

Chawla claims to be the youngest competitor among the top 120 amateurs in the field, earning a place in the merit list at such a prestigious level. “I believe in hard work and dedication. I would like to express gratitude to my school authorities and my coach Jesse Grewal,” said Chawla, who trains at the Chandigarh Golf Academy.
