Golfing Buddies, Doon Ryder win golf championship in Chandigarh

The 9th Chasma Shah Team Golf Championship concluded today at the Chandigarh Golf Club, with Golfing Buddies and Doon Ryder emerging as the winners.

The Buddies team won the Group A final with a score of 224, while Ryders posted a score of 230.6 to top Group B. The gross category saw Zooky Beans claim the second position in Group A, while Doon Devils claimed second position in the Group B.

In the Double Peoria (Group A), Swinger won the event, followed by the Nak Baith team. Meanwhile, the teams of Doon Tigers and Happy Buddies claimed first and second position, respectively, in Group B.

As for individual feats, Vicky won the nearest to the pin event, while SDS Batth won the straightest drive. Dilmick Lamba bagged the individual best gross stroke play.

The two-day tournament, which saw participation from 40 teams, was marked by intense competition.

Despite the rain affecting play on the final day, the golfers showed remarkable spirit and adaptability.

“We are thrilled to have hosted yet another successful edition of the Chasma Shah Team Golf Championship,” said Darvesh Kumar, Chief Organiser, adding, “The level of golfing talent on display was truly impressive, and we congratulate Golfing Buddies and Doon Ryder on their well-deserved win.”

Golfing Buddies and Doon Ryder have each won a trip Thailand and Vietnam as part of the prize for the lifting the trophy.
