"By declaring Good Friday as a working day in Chandigarh, the BJP’s anti-Christian attitude is once again exposed," Venugopal said in a post on social media.

He also alleged that Christian priests live under threat in BJP-ruled states.

"They pretend to be great well-wishers of the community, but through such moves and the threat under which Christian priests live in BJP-ruled states, it becomes clear that they have a clear anti-minority, anti-Christian agenda. They simply don’t want Christians to live and co-exist peacefully," the Congress leader said.
