Good governance begins at home: MP Naveen Jindal
Good governance should begin with one’s own “temple” (home), Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal said during the Good Governance event today.
“We must first take care of our own body, then our family, and finally society. The government’s intent and policies are good, and it is our responsibility to effectively ensure they reach the right individuals at the grassroots level,” he said while addressing the crowd at the PWD Rest House, Sector 1.
Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma also attended the event.
Jindal toured the exhibition based on the life of former Prime Minister and Atal Bihari Vajpayee before inaugurating the programme by lighting a lamp and offering floral tributes to the Bharat Ratna awardee.
A short film showcasing the schemes implemented by the government for the people of the state was also screened at the event.
Besides, three institutions that performed exceptionally well in government schemes and public welfare were awarded.
The MP said the online systems introduced to implement government schemes transparently have ensured that every individual benefits. “It has relieved people from paperwork, applications, and office visits, contributing to the establishment of good governance in the state,” he added.
