Gourav shines with ball in PCA Blue win against PCA Red

A fine performance by PCA Blue bowlers helped the side log an easy five-wicket win over PCA Red at the ongoing Punjab State Senior T20 Cricket Tournament for the Maharaja Ranjit Singh T20 Trophy.

Gourav Choudhary led the charge with 4/24 and Mehakjot Kaur (2/21), Raman Deep (1/43) and Yuvraj Singh Mann (1/22) contributed to restrict PCA Red to 148 runs in 20 overs. Karteek Sharma and Anil Tadav scored 34 runs each, while Mridul Sandal (27) and Mayank Markande (18) were the other main scorers for the side.

In reply, the Blue team posted 154/5 with the help of Harpreet Brar (42 off 23 balls) and Choudhary (37). Uday Pratap Saharan (36) and Karman Preet Singh (10) also scored for the side. Lovekirat Singh, Madhav Singh Pathania, Marknade, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Arun Kalia shared a wicket each for the bowling side.

In the second match, PCA Green defeated PCA Purple by 18 runs. The Green team posted 201/4 as Naman Dhir (68 off 39 balls), Jashanpreet Singh Sidhu (62 off 46 balls) led the charge. Jasan Jindal picked two, while Jass Inder Singh Baidwan and Sohraab Dhlaiwal claimed a wicket each for the bowling side.

In reply, the Purple team batters posted 183 with the help of Dhaliwal (50), Anmol Malhotra (49) and Vishwanath Pratap Singh (40). Kartik Chadha picked 4/27.
