Governor lays stone for revitalisation of sarovar in Dahnas

In a landmark step towards strengthening ecological conservation and restoring traditional water bodies, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, today laid the foundation stone for the revitalisation of the Amrit Sarovar at Dhanas village. The ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative initiative under AMRUT 2.0 aimed at rejuvenating natural water ecosystems and enhancing sustainable urban development.
The event was attended by Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament, Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor, Chandigarh, Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, Pardeep Kumar, Special Commissioner, CB Ojha, Chief Engineer, Kuljeet Singh Sandhu, area councillor, Harjeet Singh and Satinder Singh Sidhu, councillors and several officials.
Addressing the gathering, Kataria expressed satisfaction over the commencement of the project.
