Gulab Chand Kataria unveils coffee table book on smart city projects

The UT Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, today unveiled Smart Chandigarh, a coffee table book, at the Punjab Raj Bhawan in the presence of UT Adviser Rajeev Verma, Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Smart City Limited, Anindita Mitra along with other officials.
The Coffee Table Book lays emphasis on the projects undertaken by Chandigarh Smart City Limited towards making the city more sustainable and greener for its citizens. “Smart Cities Mission guided by the principle of Antyodya, has taken several effective initiatives to improve water and wastewater management, public health, solid waste management, mobility, social sector advancements, energy infrastructure and ICT initiatives,” said Kataria.
“As we are nearing the end of Smart Cities Mission, it was a good thought to bring all projects and their impacts in form of a coffee table book,” said Verma.
Mitra shared her experiences that all projects undertaken by the Chandigarh Smart City Limited were nearing completion. The impact of these projects on the daily lives of the residents of city are far-sighted, she added.
