Gully cricket: Rohit shines with fifer
A five-wicket haul by Rohit (5/2) powered Team No 473 to a 22-run victory over Team No 470 in the Gully Cricket Tournament, organised by the UT Cricket Association in association with Chandigarh Police.
Batting first, Team No 473 posted 78/5 in 10 overs with Tanuj Giri (29) and Rohit (14) being the main contributors. Rohit again weaved his magic with the ball and restricted Team No 470 to 56/9. He was adjudged the ‘Man of the Match’ by ASI Bhim Singh.
In other matches of the day, Team No 392 defeated Team No 396 by five wickets, while Team No 267 overcame Team No 264 by seven wickets. Team No 311 edged past Team No 318 by 13 runs, and Team No 284 registered a commanding 51-run win over Team No 276.
Team No 328 beat Team No 2 by eight wickets, and Team No 1 secured a seven-wicket victory against Team No 8.
