Gunshots fired into air at Mani Majra

Panic gripped Mani Majra after SUV-borne miscreants fired gunshots into the air following a quarrel with another group near a private school opposite Shivalik Garden.
Sources said two groups entered into a quarrel at the parking lot near RIMT World School, following which one of the miscreants opened fire.
The police said two gunshots were fired into the air, after which members of both groups escaped.
An eyewitness, identified as Ramandeep, informed the police. On getting information, cops rushed to the spot.
A case under Section 336 (act endangering life and personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act has been registered at the Mani Majra police station. The police have started an investigation into it. “We will scrutinise the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area to identify the accused,” said a police official.
