Guv pays tributes to Jain Muni

A memorial service was held today at Anuvrat Bhawan, Sector 24, to mark the passing away of revered Jain Muni Abhay Kumar Ji Swami.

On the occasion, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria paid heartfelt tribute to Munishri Ji, saying, “Munishri Abhay Kumar Ji lived a life full of penance and meditation. He dedicated his entire life to the service of the Dharma Sangha. I salute his penance and sacrifice.”

Kataria expressed his deep sorrow upon hearing the news of Munishri’s passing. “I received the news only yesterday but due to various arrangements, I was unable to reach him immediately. However, when I attended the memorial service today, my heart was filled with emotion,” he added. The Governor said Abhay Muni was a living example of equality, simplicity, humility and a sweet voice. By serving the Dharma Sangha for so long, he set an example of restraint and dedication.
