To keep a check on the flow of habit-forming drugs in the market, a raid was conducted at a shop in Sector 22-A last evening on a complaint.
Drugs inspectors Tajinder Singh and Amit Lakhanpal jointly raided M/s Medicare and during the search, the firm was found stocking habit-forming drugs costing around Rs 82,000 without any purchase and sale record. Oral dosage formulations containing tapentadol and pregabalin (2,400 tablets & 400 capsules) were also seized from the shop.
A show-cause notice has been issuedto the firm as per the relevant Act.
