An assistant professor, who is accused of allegedly sending inappropriate texts to some female students, appeared before the nine-member internal complaints committee at DAV College, Sector 10, today. Sources claimed that the assistant professor has asked for a week’s time for putting his submission and also demanded removal of some committee members.

“The assistant professor claimed that all allegations against him were baseless and the chats were AI generated. He asked for a week’s time to file his reply. The session with the committee members was two-hour long and he was questioned on various aspects,” claimed a source.

Recently, the college had received anonymous complaints against the accused teacher via mail, after which he was asked to proceed on leave. A few days back, several complainants appeared before the committee and according to sources, the complainants also asked three members from the committee, who were said to be close to the accused teacher, to leave the room, where proceedings were held.
