Punjab’s Harmanjit Singh blanked Haryana’s Hridey Malothra 6-0 6-0 to advance to the next round of the boys’ U-18 competition in the Roots-AITA CS (7) U-18 National Ranking Championship here today.

Agnivesh Bharadwaj of Haryana outplayed Chandigarh’s Tanav Gupta 6-2 6-0, while Satvik Singla humbled Haryana’s Trishubh 6-4 6-4.

Punjab’s Anhad Singh Oberai registered a 6-3 6-2 win over state mate Jujhar Singh, while Aniruddh Sangra drubbed Maharashtra’s Suryansh Nagar 6-1 6-0. Haryana’s Akshat Dhull thrashed Punjab’s Aryan Aggarwal 6-0 6-2.

Punjab’s Sahajpreet Singh Bajwa ousted Tarun Sharma of Himachal Pradesh 6-0 6-1 and Upnishad Bhardwaj outclassed Aditya Bhatnagar 6-0 6-0. Rabi Narayan Sahoo of Odisha prevailed 6-2 6-3 over Jashandeep Singh.

Jaswinder Singh registered a 6-2 2-6 6-3 win over Tanveer Singh.

In the girls’ U-18 category, Punjab’s Agampreet Kaur outplayed Snigdha Pandey of Uttarakhand 6-2 6-0, while Punjab’s Mankeerat Kaur defeated Anika 6-2 6-2.
