A 2019 batch IAS Officer, Harpreet Singh, today took charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of the district. After assuming the charge, Singh said his priority would be implement various public welfare schemes of the Punjab government at the grassroots level and to ensure every eligible beneficiary may get the benefit. He said that the campaign launched by the state government to eradicate drugs would be further intensified with the cooperation of all departments and NGOs. —OC
