Chandigarh, July 10
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, while chairing a meeting of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA), directed officers to provide information on the villages included in municipal corporations and the funds transferred to these corporations.
The CM approved Rs 100 crore for the PMDA as part of the 2024–25 budget.
During the meeting, it was discussed that the authorities would primarily focus on new development works in sectors dividing roads, parks, sewage systems, stormwater drainage, drinking water, and the extended areas of the city. The construction and repair of roads within the sectors will be managed by the HSVP and Urban Local Bodies, allowing funds to be spent on development projects in the respective villages.
The PMDA would undertake major development works worth Rs 156.58 crore during 2024–2025, with a blueprint already prepared.
