Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya gives away prizes to 439 children
Panchkula, June 12
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya today gave away prizes to 439 children who had secured top positions in the State Level Children’s Day Competition-2021 organised by the Haryana State Child Welfare Council.
These 439 children were selected out of 1.37 lakh children of the state. Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Ambala MP Ratan Lal Kataria, Deputy Commissioner and President of the District Child Welfare Council Mahavir Kaushik, and honorary general secretary of the council Ranjita Mehta were also present.
Dattatreya said children were the future of our country and it was the responsibility of every person to nurture and protect them. Every parent takes care of their children according to their ability, but for the all-round development of the children of weaker sections, the Haryana Child Welfare Council is doing a commendable work, he said.
Earlier, Dattatreya, along with his wife Vasantha Bhandaru and daughter-in-law Vijay Lakshmi, paid obeisance at Mata Mansa Devi temple. Today was the 75th birth anniversary of the Governor.
