Haryana Speaker launches bus service to Ayodhya from Panchkula

Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta today flagged off a special bus service of Haryana Roadways from Panchkula to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The service has been launched to facilitate people wishing to visit the newly built Ram Temple.
Flagging off the bus from the Haryana Roadways bus depot and workshop at the Industrial Area Phase 2, Gupta said the number of Ayodhya-bound buses would be increased in the times to come.
The bus will cover a distance of 959 km via Delhi, Mathura, Agra and Lucknow to reach Ayodhya. It will be run thrice a week on Friday, Monday and Wednesday. It will leave the Sector 5 bus stand at 10.30 am and will reach Ayodhya at 5 am the next day. The ticket price is Rs 1,269.
Gupta said since the consecration on January 22, about 27 lakh people had already visited the temple. He said the state government planned to run 50 electric buses on local routes in Panchkula. At present, about 150 buses are being from the district to other parts of the state besides Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.
