Pro Kabaddi League franchisee Haryana Steelers will play their all home games at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3, starting from February 16.
The Steelers will play as many as four games as part of the home leg against Patna Pirates on February 16, U Mumuba on February 17, Punerai Paltan on February 19 and Bengaluru Bulls on February 21.
Besides the home team matches, the arena will host matches of other teams such as Telugu Titans and Jaipur Pinka Panthers (February 16), UP Yoddhas and Gujarat Titans (February 17), Tamil Thalavias and Bengal Warriors, Dabang Delhi KC and Bengaluru Bulls (February 18), Gujarat Giants and Jaipur Pink Panthers (February 19), between U Mumba and Telgu Titans (February 20) and Punerai Paltan and UP Yoddhas (February 21).
Haryana Steelers, who are currently at sixth spot in the league table, will be looking forward to seal their place in the playoffs. The team has won 11 matches and lost six to claim 60 points in the league, so far.
“We are excited to see the league coming to our home Panchkula. I hope the fans will witness some exciting and thrilling matches, and watch their favourite players live in action,” said Mandeep.
When asked if the ongoing farmers’ protest would stop fans from Haryana and Punjab to reach at Panchkula, Jaideep Dahiya, Co-Captain, Haryana Steelers, said: “Playing in front of our home crowd will be an electrifying experience. Given the current situation, the fans may face some problem to reach here.”
