Haryana’s Aryan storms into next round in tennis tourney

Haryana’s Aryan Chauhan defeated Punjab’s Devansh Parajuli in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 to qualify for the next round during the CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 complex here.

Maharashtra’s Pyush Arjun Jadhav defeated Sahurya Bisht 6-4 6-0, while second seeded local contender Ribhav Saroha overpowered Haryana’s Krishav Behl 6-1, 6-1. Aarav Bishnoi faced some resistance from Prabhnoor Singh Kalsi before logging a 6-2, 7-6(4) win, while Karen Singh defeated Parth Berwal 6-1, 6-1.

Local challenger Aarya Vaibhav Nigam struggled hard to defeat Ayaan Chanel 7-5, 4-6, 10-7, while fourth seed Punjab’s Mahijith Singh Kaura ousted Shubh Bhumbri 6-0, 6-0. Parmarth Kaushik also logged an identical win over Karnataka’s Hriday Manrai and Charchit Boora outplayed Sankalp Sachdeva 6-4 7-6(1).

Punjab’s Manan Dhir outplayed Ajay Nain 6-1 6-0, followed an identical win by Pragun Thakur over Prabhsaran Singh Lakra 6-1, 6-0. Heet Kandoriya of Gujarat defeated Vrishin Awasthi 6-0, 6-3, Sreenivas Nikhil Kurapati ousted Shayaan Kapur 6-0, 6-1. Ashish Kumar defeated Harshit Tyagi 7-5, 7-6(4), while Hardit Singh ousted Satyam Dadwal 6-0, 6-0.
