Hassan, Nidhi carrom champs

Mohammed Hassan and Nidhi Gupta claimed carrom titles in the men’s and women’s category, respectively, on the concluding of the 30th Chandigarh State Carrom Tournament, at St Stephen’s School, Sector 45.
Hassan overpowered Sanjay Negi (25-00, 25-17) to claim the title. Mohammed Talib claimed the third position by defeating Himanshu Shekhar (25-06, 25-01). In the women’s singles final, Nidhi overpowered Tuba Sehar (24-02, 12-24, 25-17). Sanya Chadha thrashed Maryam Khan (18-10, 20-07) to claim the third position. Earlier in the semi-finals, Tuba defeated Maryam Khan (25-10, 20-19) and Nidhi blanked Sanya (19-18, 25-12, 25-10).
