Punjab Against Corruption president Satnam Daun and members of Lok Hit Mission alleged that only the branch manager was under scrutiny, but others have gone scot-free.

"The bank has refunded Rs 3.25 crore to victims but at least 13-14 more cases of refund are pending," he said, adding that several instances of such bungling cases have come to fore in Sialba Majri and Gharuan but no action was taken.

Bank officials said it was an attempt to malign the reputation of bank as the accused has been arrested and the matter is in court for one year now. Officials said a separate departmental inquiry is also underway.
