Zirakpur: 20-year-old hit-&-run victim succumbs

Zirakpur, October 1

A 20-year-old girl, who sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on the Chandigarh-Ambala highway recently, died during treatment at the GMCH-32. The deceased has been identified as Panchkula resident Balika.

On a statement of the victim’s father Dil Bahadur, the police have registered a case against the unidentified driver and launched a search for him. In a statement to the police, the complainant stated that his daughter worked at a private factory in Zirakpur. He added that she was returning home from work when the accident took place. — TNS
