Hockey Punjab thrashed Le Puducherry Hockey (18-0) in the 11th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship, in Simdega, Jharkhand.

Harpreet Kaur (23rd, 37th, 40th and 50th) starred in the match with four goals to her name, while team captain Harpreet Kaur (2nd and 16th) Navjot Kaur (11th), Anjali Panwar (15th, 51st and 52nd), Sanjana (17th and 57th), Vishali Sharma (23rd and 47th), Karmanpreet Kaur (28th and 41st, 46th) and Mitali (50th) scored in the team’s win.

Hockey Karnataka outclassed Hockey Bengal with a scintillating 16-0 win in their Pool H match.

Assam Hockey beat Hockey Rajasthan (6-0) and home team Hockey Jharkhand put up a fine performance in their Pool A match as they beat Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu (8-1).
