Chandigarh, March 3

An employee of a hotel in Sector 17 has been arrested by the UT police for allegedly filming a woman customer while she was bathing in her room.

The victim, who had checked in on March 1 and was due to leave the next day, reported that around 11.30 am on Saturday, she noticed someone secretly filming her in the bathroom. Startled, she raised the alarm, after which the suspect fled the spot.

The victim informed the hotel reception about the incident. The suspect was later identified as Anshul, from the housekeeping section.

The police were informed about the incident and they started an investigation into the incident.

Subsequently, a case was registered against the suspect at the Sector 17 police station and he was arrested. Later, he was released on bail.

The police have seized the mobile phone of the suspect, which will be sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for an examination.
