Panic gripped Daddu Majra after a gas cylinder exploded in a house, caused the roof to collapse. The two occupants escape unhurt after noticing the blaze.

The fire brigade and police officials reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

The house suffered significant damages, while the window panes of nearly houses were also shattered. According to the locals, the tremors from the blast were felt across the neighbourhood.

The police, meanwhile, have registered a case and begun an investigation.

Notably, a gas cylinder fire at a house in Sector 25, Panchkula, had on March 22 left two children injured.
