A special investigation team (SIT) of the local police has arrested four more persons for allegedly impersonating as original candidates in the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) male constable physical screening test held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3 on December 20 last year.
They have been identified as Ashok Kumar, Raman, Pankaj Kumar and Pawan Kumar. All are residents of Hisar district in Haryana.
So far, 10 persons have been arrested in the case.
The six persons arrested earlier are Sandeep and Mohit of Hisar, Joni and Mukesh of Kaithal, Vinod of Jind and Ravi of Sonepat.
A case in this regard was registered at the Sector 5 police station under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the IPC on December 26.
During the investigation, the police had received a list of 35 suspected candidates from the commission. Apart from this, three other FIRs have also been registered by the police in the same matter. The police had earlier arrested a Rohtak resident, Manik, in connection with one of these FIRs.
In total, four FIRs have been registered and 11 persons have been arrested in the matter. Taking a serious note of the matter, Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, Saurabh Singh had constituted the SIT to investigate the matter on January 12. ACP (Headquarters) Vijay Kumar Nehra, who is leading the probe, said they were trying to reach the bottom of the matter.
