This decision was made to avoid a heavy rush of people on a single day at the National Lok Adalat, scheduled for Saturday.

This special Lok Adalat is being organised prior to the National Lok Adalat.

The National Lok Adalat would handle various cases, including matrimonial, cheque bounce, and accident claim cases.

In the past, the National Lok Adalat has witnessed a massive rush for paying traffic challans.

To prevent inconvenience to the people, extra arrangements have been made for paying traffic challans. The courts receive a large number of traffic challans generated through CCTV cameras every day.

However, people visiting the District Court to pay their challans are complaining about the CCTV camera-based traffic challans.

Kishori Lal, a resident of Sector 43, Chandigarh, stated that he has not deliberately violated traffic rules.

He believes the traffic police should understand the genuine problems of the people before issuing challans. The District Court authorities have appealed to people to utilise the virtual court facility for paying traffic challans.

Upon successful payment and realization of the fine amount, the case is automatically disposed of through the virtual court. If people wish to contest the challan, they can use the video conferencing facility to appear before the courts.
