Mohali, July 16

The hunger strike in support of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha at the main gate of Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, Sohana, entered its 40th day today.

Satveer Singh Dhanoa, president, Nagar Punjabi Virsa Sabhyacharak Society, along with his companions sat on the hunger strike today.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhanoa said: “The three black laws passed by the Centre will not only harm the farmers but also the common man.”

He alleged that the Centre was imposing these laws on the farmers to “appease the industrialists”.

All of us should give our contribution in the historic peasant struggle which will be remembered for centuries to come, said Dhanoa.
