Illegal colonies razed in Panchkula

The District Town Planner team razed down unauthorised constructions in Urban Area Panchkula. During the drive, two illegal colonies in Kauna village, Laharundi, one illegal colony in Khokhara village and three shops in Charaniya village were demolished using JCB machines.

The demolition was carried out in the presence of Assistant Town Planner Ashok Kumar, Duty Magistrate Kuldeep Chand, Sub-Divisional Engineer of Police Housing Corporation, Panchkula, and a heavy police force.

According to the Assistant Town Planner, notices had been issued before the action, but the illegal constructions were not removed by the defaulters, necessitating this step. The official stated that any construction or colony developed without permission from the Director of Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, would face strict legal action. The public has been advised not to invest in properties within unauthorised colonies without obtaining the required CLU/License from the department to prevent financial loss and curb illegal constructions.
