Panchkula: Illegal hookah bar operator arrested

As part of “Operation Akraman”, 37 police teams were recently deployed in the district to catch criminals engaged in various illegal activities, leading to the arrest of 20 persons. The police said 13 persons were arrested for allegedly indulging in gambling at public places and smuggling liquor.

Besides, a proclaimed offender and a man operating an illegal hookah bar were also arrested. While raiding Mob Club Bar as part of the operation, the police seized four hookahs for violation of Section 144 and registered a case against the operator under Section 188/269/270. The operator, Vikram, a resident of Sector 44-A, Chandigarh, was arrested.
