Illegal structures razed in Panchkula
The road network of three unauthorised colonies in the villages of Barwala and Jeetpur were demolished
A District Town Planning team carried out a major enforcement drive in the urban areas of Panchkula. During the operation, a total of six DPCs (Damp Proof Courses) and the road network of three unauthorised colonies in the villages of Barwala and Jeetpur were demolished using a JCB machine.
The action was conducted in the presence of Duty Magistrate Sushil, Sub-Divisional Engineer Ashok Kumar from Division-1, HSVP Panchkula, Assistant Town Planners Dimpy Rathi and Ashok Kumar, along with a large police contingent to ensure smooth execution of the demolition.
District Town Planner Sanjay Narang said prior permission from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, is mandatory before carrying out any construction or developing a colony. He cautioned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found developing illegal constructions or colonies without due approval.
The District Town Planner further appealed to the general public not to undertake any construction or development work without obtaining CLU (Change of Land Use) or licence permission from the department.
