The CBI caught an assistant sub-inspector of the UT police while allegedly accepting bribe on Tuesday evening. Sources said CBI sleuths had received a complaint against ASI Sher Singh deployed at the Sector 43 police post. A trap was laid and the cop was nabbed.

Infant found near drain

A newborn girl was found abandoned near a drain on the rear of the vegetable market in Dhakoli on Tuesday afternoon. The baby was admitted to the CHC, Dhakoli, where doctors were attending to her. The police have registered a case and begun an investigation into it.
