Park Hospital has successfully completed 100 robotic joint resurfacing surgeries, marking a significant achievement in orthopaedic care. Addressing a press meet on Friday, Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh, Director, Ortho and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, said the hospital had a state-of-the-art robotic arthroplasty centre. The free robotic technology would be offered to patients till April 30, he added. With advanced techniques, surgeries now take just 12-15 minutes, requiring no blood transfusion, sutures, or drains, allowing patients to walk within four hours. Ortho consultants Dr Anil Kapoor Vashisth and Dr Aman Garg were also present.
Vertigo clinic at mohali hospital
Fortis Hospital Mohali has launched Vertigo and Balance Disorders Clinic in collaboration with Neuroequilibrium, an international chain of vertigo and dizziness clinics. The facility integrates neurology and ENT expertise for precise diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders. Led by Dr Ashok Gupta and Dr JP Singhvi, the clinic offers specialised rehabilitation programmes tailored to patient needs.
GMCH-32 hosts rehab event
The Mental Health Institute and Department of Psychiatry, GMCH-32, in collaboration with NGO ‘Parivartan,’ organised Dr BS Chavan Memorial Rehabilitation Programme. Prof AK Attri, Director-Principal, GMCH-32, was the chief guest at the event, which highlighted Dr Chavan’s innovative public-private partnership model. The programme saw over 150 participants, including mental health professionals and caregivers.
