Fire breaks out at dera bassi shop

Mohali: A gift shop near Krishna Mandir at the Dera Bassi main market was gutted on Monday morning. Shop owner Rakesh Sharma said items worth Rs 10 lakhs were reduced to ashes. He said the fire broke out early in the morning and damaged their house in the backyard. Fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.

Biogas plant work reviewed

Panchkula: Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma on Monday reviewed the work of installation of a compressed biogas plant and the facilities available at Kamdhenu Gaushala Seva Sadan in Pinjore here.

Stone of village link road laid

Mohali: Kuljit Singh Randhawa, the Dera Bassi MLA, laid the foundation stone of tilework on the link road from Shatabhgarh village to Airport Road. It was a long-pending demand of the village residents. Sarpanch Harwinder Kaur hoped that the work would be completed soon.
