Chandigarh: In a hit-and-run case, a vehicle sped away after hitting a pedestrian near Dhanas lake. The police said the victim had not been identified yet. After being hit on December 11, the injured pedestrian was rushed to Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. A case has been registered against unknown person at the Sector 11 police station. TNS

Two arrested under Arms Act

Chandigarh: Two persons have been arrested by the Chandigarh Police for possessing knives. The police said Bhumik alias Hakla and Lucky, both resident of EWS Colony, Sector 38 (West), were arrested with knives. Cases against both have been registered. TNS
