The city today recorded the steepest single-day spike of 145 Covid cases, taking the tally to 2,776. While 94 persons tested positive in the RT-PCR test, the remaining were diagnosed with the disease using the rapid antigen test.

The new cases have been reported from Sector 6, 7, 11, 15, 16,19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 52, 61, Behlana, Dadu Majra, Daria, Dhanas, Khuda Jassu, Khuda Lahora, Mani Majra, PGI campus, Raipur Khurd, and Ram Darbar. So far, 24,693 people have been tested in the city and 2,776 of them have been found infected. As many as 1,471 patients have been cured. — TNS
