Chandigarh, April 19

Indian Air Force (IAF) defeated Bangladesh Air Force 5-2 to continue their winning streak, on the second day of the 3rd Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament being played at the 3 BRD hockey ground here.

Rahul Kumar Rajbhar sounded the wooden plank in the 14th minute to score the first goal for the IAF. Sukhdev Singh (16th, 38th), Carriappa MB (41st ) and Ajit Pandit (60th) scored other goals for the side. Mohammed Sohanpur Rehman (29th, 47th) scored both goals for the Bangladesh Air Force team. Chandigarh XI played a 1-1 draw against Rail Coach Factory. Ajmer Singh put Rail Coach Factory ahead in the 29th minute, while Chandigarh’s Sanjay Singh scored the equaliser in the 50th minute. —
