Installation ceremony hosted
The Tribune School, Chandigarh
The Tribune School, Sector 29, Chandigarh, hosted the installation ceremony of its Interact Club. Gaurav Dhiman was picked as the new president and Ananya was chosen as the secretary for the term 2024-2025. The ceremony was attended by the members of Rotary Club, Mohali midtown. Principal Rani Poddar welcomed the dignitaries and congratulated the newly-elected members and motivated them for one more year of community service. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of the Rotary Club in this event.
Shishu Niketan School, Chandigarh
Angel from Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22D, won first position in the slogan writing category at the National Yoga Olympiad 2024, organised by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. This achievement has brought laurels to the school and showcased Angel’s exceptional talent, said Amita Khorana, director-principal of the school. Meanwhile school’s student Preeti joined the National Defence Academy after clearing the NDA-152 and the SSB.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh
Students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, visited the War Memorial in Chandigarh. This visit was a part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas in the school. The students stood before the grand memorial in a moment of poignant reflection, as they read the names of the soldiers inscribed.
Govt High School, Sector 30 A
In support of ‘Anaemia Mukt Bharat’, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) East-1 organised Blood Test Camp at Government High School, Sector 30A. The camp was supported by the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) Chandigarh Chapter. As part of the camp, medicinal trees were also planted in the school premises.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh
The Primary Wing of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 33, celebrated Van Mahotsav with an educational assembly. The event commenced with poems portraying the life journey of a tree, emphasising its message of growth and resilience. The assembly concluded with a musical performance. The ‘Hero Hygiene Ambassadors’ of the school were taken to Government Model Middle School, Sector 49, for a plantation drive.

Mind Tree School hosted its annual Inter-House Dramatics Competition, transforming the school into a vibrant hub of creativity. The event, attended by students, parents, and distinguished guests, was marked by excitement and anticipation.

SSGI, Dera Bassi, welcomed the new batch of students on the orientation day. Director of academics, Dr Bhattacharya motivated students to adopt interactive teaching learning methodology. Prof Rashpal Singh introduced the students to extracurricular activities and encouraged them to participate in clubs and community events. He wished the students good luck and success for their education.
