Chandigarh, April 9
The Olympian Movement Society of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, celebrated WhiteCard. Each year, the world commemorates the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP).The WhiteCard is a worldwide digital campaign created by Peace and Sport in 2015 to celebrate IDSDP. Holding up a White Card, just like a referee, is an action meant to symbolize the positive power of sport.
The society asked students to join in and post their digital images to promote the Peace and Sport #April6 #whitecard campaign. The main idea was that even with the current limits and restrictions, the students are more than ever responsible to build awareness of solidarity and peace through our community and share the good will with the large sport movement, also encouraging each other to keep the good spirit and to follow the WHO recommendations. Around 500 students shared their photos and videos digitally today to show their support for the #’WhiteCard’ movement.
