Ishroop Narang shines at asian judo meet
Chandigarh: Local judoka Ishroop Narang (17) bagged bronze medal in the recently concluded Junior Asian Judo Championship at Mungyeong (Korea). Ishroop, a student of MCM DAV College, Sector 36, claimed the third position in -78kg weight category. She trains under the UT Sports Department coach, Vivek Thakur, at the Sector 34 Sports Complex. Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Football Association has selected a local team for the Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship to be held at Neemuch ( Madhya Pradesh) from September 8 to 13. Himanshi Chauhan, Sehaj Preet Kaur, Simran, Payal, Aahana Mittal, Rima Chauhan, Falak Saini, Avleen Kaur, Naina, Kajal, Manisha Kumari, Ravat Sood, Mansha Sharma, Damini, Deepika, Manu, Kritkya, Ishita, Parinita, Anshika, Kaasvi, Aashni. Dr IP Nagi (chief coach), Ritika (manager) and Dr Alisha Team (physiotherapist) will accompany the team.
