Chandigarh, December 1
The 3rd edition of the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational, presented by TAKE Sports and TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), will be held at Chandigarh Golf Club from December 3 to 6.
The tournament is a gesture to honour Indian golfing legend Jeev Milkha Singh. It will be staged at Jeev’s home course and will offer a prize of Rs1.5 crore. The field will feature 120 participants.
The field will see host Jeev, PGA tour regular Anirban Lahiri, European tour regulars Gaganjeet Bhullar and SSP Chawrasia and Asian tour regulars Jyoti Randhawa, Rashid Khan and former champion Chikkarangappa.
“I’m really excited about hosting the 3rd edition. I couldn’t have asked for better finishes over the last two years as both previous editions ended with playoffs. The tournament has also had very strong fields and good scoring in the past. Hopefully, we’ll get to witness an even more enthralling and successful event this year,” said Jeev.
“We are going through a tough time amid the pandemic. So, I would like to request everyone to follow all safety protocols during the event,” he added.
Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO, PGTI, said: “The first two editions of the tournament exceeded expectations with memorable playoff finishes. We can expect another fascinating week of golf this year.”
