Former MP Pawan Bansal today strongly criticised the ruling BJP in Chandigarh, questioning whether it was a job provider or a job snatcher.

He highlighted the government decision to abolish 1,735 positions across 40 departments, leading to the potential loss of jobs for an equivalent number of contractual employees by March 31.

Expressing concern over the directive, Bansal stated that contractual employees would not receive salaries after the completion of their contracts.

He alleged that the BJP-led government at the Centre failed to create new job opportunities for unemployed youths and was now taking away the stable employment from those who had been working on the jobs for a decade.

“Let us come in power, all contractual employees will be made permanent and local unemployed youth will get preference in government jobs in Chandigarh,” he promised.
