The protesters crossed two barricades following which the police used mild lathicharge. The protesters staged a dharna near the third barricade.

Union’s state president Deepak Kamboj said eight protesters suffered injuries during the clash with the police. Param Fazilka and Aman Fazilka have been protesting atop a water tank near Sohana for the past 43 days. Their health is deteriorating but the Punjab Government is showing no sympathy towards the unemployed teachers. — TNS
